    For Han Yang Guan, a Korean barbeque restaurant brand, the goal is to create a space that merges the openness and flexibility of a canteen-like setting while still providing a pleasant and inviting dining experience.

  • This project explores the intersection of sensory experiences and architectural design- "Synesthesia Architecture." Our client, Uncle Q, a brand renowned for its specialty lemon tea, leverages the distinct fragrant lemon as a critical element of its branding identity. This project dives into the concept of "sourness,reflecting that essence by infusing lemon's sharp, tangy characteristics into the architectural form, creating a space that visually and experientially embodies the brand's core ingredients.

  • Fast-paced and monotonous, urban living experiences in China are often mall-centric, leading to an increasing alienation of the concept of neighborhood. In 2021, our client Uncle Q, initially captivated by the buzzword of the year“metaverse,” eventually embraced the vision of transforming this 200-square-meter lemon tea shop into a community hub. By creating a welcoming space that offers diverse experiences to the public, the shop not only fosters local connections but also strengthens brand recognition.

  • Beating lemon in a cup enhances its aroma,. The project makes the kitchen/bar's preparation a signature performance. Much like a DJ behind the decks, the process becomes an art form, blending skill and sensory appeal to create a unique brand experience.

  • Sweet 7 is an innovative to-go beverage brand, launched in 2020, specializing in mango smoothies. Debuting at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Sweet 7 aims to create a lasting visual impact on travelers. The design concept transcends traditional advertising by featuring a monumental yellow acrylic “7” encased in a cube of perforated metal, positioned to harness natural light. This luminous installation serves as a captivating focal point, drawing the attention of passersby from every angle.

Escape 996

  • Huawei, a tech giant, is well-known for its rigorous 996 work schedule - working from 9 AM to 9 PM, 6 days a week. The design ethos extends beyond merely accommodating the routine of meetings and discussions; it serves as a sanctuary for thousands of employees within the campus, offering a respite from the relentless codes and virtual networks to reconnect with the physical world. It challenges the notion of being “too busy to take a break,” with the architecture featuring openings on all four sides aligned with the main pedestrian flow directions.

    The intent is to maximize the visibility of the serene café scene within, encouraging employees to look forward to a moment of leisure at the café during their daily commutes, fostering a sense of anticipation for a brief escape to rejuvenate amidst nature.

  • Every store must embody a sense of vitality, and greenery has always been an irreplaceable element in achieving this. Although this store is located in the basement level of a mall with no natural light, the plants thrive under the care of professionals who tend to them regularly. Of course, the true display of vitality came from the dedicated staff who worked tirelessly to maneuver the large plant through the mall’s entrance on opening day.

‘Orient Express’ Bistro

  • Combining Western cocktail culture with authentic Sichuan cuisine, this project draws inspiration from the theatrical ambiance of the “Orient Express.” The name YUYUYU, meaning “fisherman, speaks, fish” in Chinese, highlights the brand’s identity and its signature dish—szechuan fish with pickled mustard . Situated in Shenzhen’s MixC mall, the bistro targets the 20s-30s crowd from nearby tech companies and universities, offering a space that embraces the growing post-work drinking culture.

  • YUYUYU is committed to ensuring that every restaurant features an open kitchen. This transparency is a strong endorsement of cleanliness and food safety for the restaurant owners. For the designers, however, the focus is on maximizing the interactive potential of this ‘stage,’ turning the kitchen into a dynamic element of the dining experience.

  • Carslan, as a pioneering cosmetics brand, has undergone a product revolution with the creation of Carslan PRO, aiming to enter the high-end market. Clean beauty and the use of orchid essence, extracted with cutting-edge technology, are the key selling points of this new line. The spatial design is driven by the scale of the products, not only optimizing the display but also incorporating more comfortable furniture dimensions to guide the flow of movement within the space.

Needle and Sphere

  • Gothic spires and Roman domes—many of the world’s most captivating architectural forms seem to revolve around the interplay of needles and spheres. Just like in 1933, when the New York World’s Fair boldly juxtaposed these two powerful geometric shapes.

    For the Carslan PRO product launch in a hotel conference room, the client requested a flexible setup with a strong visual impact, as this pop-up would tour various locations. Given the instinctive human attraction to spheres, the ephemeral nature of a pop-up bubble would capture the audience’s immediate and present experience.

  • “Like a solitary orchid in a vast, quiet valley, standing out as unique and refreshing in a noisy world.” This phrase perfectly resonates with Carslan PRO’s new line, which features orchid extract as its key ingredient. The exhibition installation embodies this concept by creating a sense of compression as visitors enter the “valley,” using light and translucent FRP to accentuate the product’s purity and elegance.

  • Our client, Tai He Xi , a massage brand specializing in Thai yoga massage, is harnessing the power of New Retail within a wellness setting. Inspired by the vibrant Maeklong Railway Market, the spatial design evokes the energy of a Thai street, where the rhythm of daily life pulses with vitality.

    To redefine the traditional image of massage parlors, the journey from the retail area to the massage room is crafted to be seamless and engaging. Guests are guided into tranquility through a series of rituals, including changing into slippers, selecting a body oil, and enjoying a foot bath. The design merges the dynamic energy of retail with a serene wellness experience, offering a refreshing take on Thai yoga massage

  • Building upon the foundation of its predecessor, this branch at Fuzhou delves into the rich tapestry of Korean household culture, specifically exploring the tradition of 'jogakbo.' Jogakbo, the intricate art of creating patchwork textiles, has a deeply rooted history in Korean culture, traditionally used for wrapping clothes. This craft, which marries practicality with artistry, symbolizes resourcefulness, care, and the beauty found in everyday life.

This project involves designing a showroom for them within their manufacturing complex in Guangzhou.
